This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn throughout the life of the candle. The jar has a diameter of 2.5 inches, so we suggest burning the candle for 2.5-3 hours at a time. It is not recommended to burn the candle for longer than 4 hours at a time. Don't forget to trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each use for optimal performance.
